MIHEP will be the largest renewable hydropower project in Indonesia

MIHEP will provide affordable, reliable, and renewable energy to the industries in Indonesia's Green Industrial Park (KIPI) at Tanah Kuning, North Kalimantan. KIPI is Indonesia’s largest green industrial park and a National Strategic Project (Proyek Strategis Nasional or PSN) serving as a catalyst for Indonesia’s Renewable Energy-Based Industry Development (REBID) initiative.

MIHEP is a National Strategic Project (PSN)

For its important role in supporting KIPI, MIHEP and its 230km 500kV transmission line system was granted the PSN status through Regulation No. 21 of 2022, issued by the Coordinating Minister for Economic Affairs on 14 December 2022, and stated in a letter from KPPIP dated 4 January 2023.
