Renewable Hydropower for Growth and Sustainable Energy Future

KHN is a joint venture company between PT Adaro Energy Indonesia Tbk (Adaro), Sarawak Energy Berhad (Sarawak Energy), and PT Kayan Patria Pratama (KPP). Unified in vision and enabled by the combined experiences and strengths of the partners, KHN is developing the 1,375MW Mentarang Induk Hydroelectric Project (MIHEP) in Malinau, North Kalimantan.

MIHEP will be Indonesia's first large-scale renewable hydropower development to support hydro industrialisation. Once completed, MIHEP will supply renewable energy to Indonesia's largest Green Industrial Park (KIPI) in Tanah Kuning, North Kalimantan.

The project also supports Indonesia's targets of having 23% renewable energy by 2025 and 31% by 2050 in its national energy mix as a part of its commitment to a sustainable energy future.
